How We Started

We began using the name Travelers of New Jersey in 2005, with the goal of highlighting our affiliation with Travelers, one of the most respected insurance companies in the U.S. First Trenton Indemnity Company began writing personal insurance policies in March 1992 as a newly-formed, New Jersey-based subsidiary of Travelers Property and Casualty Company. Today, Travelers of New Jersey is a premier personal lines company, with more than 380,000 policies in force serviced by over 400 employees. We are the largest personal lines independent agency company in New Jersey, and currently the state's 7th largest personal lines insurer, overall.

Who we are

Living in New Jersey along with the company, our management team is local, accessible, dynamic and knows what it means to live in New Jersey. Our offices are located in Marlton and Parsippany; Parsippany provides claim service to our policyholders and claimants, while Marlton provides all other services to our agents and insureds. Behind us we have the power and technical expertise of Travelers, one of the top 50 most profitable companies in the United States, and ranked 85 on the Fortune 500 list of US companies and 240 on the Fortune 500 Global list.
